TEE TO GREEN CONDITION 10-5-04
|
|
|
This course is open to the public. They take MC or Visa without hesitation. They do ask that you wear a collared shirt. No cut off jeans or tank tops. Walking is allowed, but not recommended on the Ridgeview nine. You will see houses. No range and no caddies. But they have beer!
The course is rolling terrain with bent grass fairways and large, mostly deep greens. Along the trip you can find water, sand, and mature trees. They have 3 nines that they combine to create 3, 18 hole possibilities. The Ridgeview nine was built in 1988, designed by Michael Hurdzan. Robert Von Hagge designed the Brookview/Lakeview 18 in 1972.
Brookview/Ridgeview 18 is a par 70, 5950 yards from the championship tees. Slope of 118. Rating 68.4
Lakeview/Brookview 18 is a par 72, 6634 yards. Slope 128. Rating 72.1
Ridgeview/Lakeview 18 is a par 70, 6110 yards. Slope 122. Rating 69.2
I get bored with data entry so suffice to say they have other tee positions that make the courses shorter and easier.

ON COURSE COMMENTS 10-04
We played the Brookview/Lakeview combination. Nice layout, with the exception of the finishing hole which is an OK short hole, just not what we like to see for a finishing hole. Numerous greens measure 50 yards or more from front to back.
We don't suggest walking. This course meanders through subdivisions and is quite hilly. Boone Links is about as nice as you can find for a completely open to the public course. As with our previous visits the course was in very good condition. Nice place. We gave $23 with the lung card on a weekday.
Nothing had been aerified at our visit date.
