This is a municipal course owned by Lexington-Fayette Division of Parks and Recreation. Open to the public. They take my Mastercard and Visa. No beer. Proper attire please. Walking is allowed.
Tates Creek has fescue/bluegrass fairways leading to small and medium sized bent grass greens. Water and sand are occasionally in play. Many mature trees make some holes narrow.

Rolling terrain. Some short tight holes. Numerous greens slope away at the edges.
Nice enough Lexington Muni, priced right. Looks like a nice walking course.
*Greens were not aerated but were top dressed at this visit.
2007 Update - We haven't been out to play Tates Creek since 2003, but the pro contacted us to inform us that the bunkers have been renovated.
