PICADOME

GKL HOME

Start the day off on a 485 yard par five. It's straight away until the slight dogleg left to the green.

The creek that meanders just off the left side of the fairway is in play on the tee shot.

Here is the green at number one.

Smallish greens at Picadome put an emphasis on distance control and iron play.

Here we see Picadome's pro, Jeff Shelton surveying a nice approach shot.

Here is a look back the 422 yard, par four ninth hole at Picadome.

Tree lined fairways leading to small raised greens with bunkering are the norm.

Pick the correct iron and hit it straight or you'll be chipping and putting all day.

The par three 12th hole is a 191 yard, downhill par three.
The 15th is 184 yard par three.
The 16th is a 365 yard par four and an example of a nicely designed, short par four.

I like the way the fairway is framed and the bunkers are used to add perspective to the tee shot.

This is also an example of some of the updates that occurred at Picadome in 2000.

Here is the 517 yard 17th.

You can see the bunkering across the front of the green makes it difficult to roll it on in two, but it is a reachable par five with a good tee shot.
